I don't recall ever seeing them use basic romaine. The greens they use shift with the market/season. The caesar salad is pretty basic, but very good. I've had my share of deep dish and other styles, but a good, soft, thin crust is my favorite. Though thin, the crusts are soft but not soggy or too soft (and not cooked crisp like many places). You can get slices if you don't want to shell out for a full pie. The pizzas are thin-crust, large, and a bit on the expensive side. You'll find something you like to wet your whistle. They also have a small, but good, selection of beer, sodas, and wine. Everyone I've gone there with has enjoyed the fare. Hard to go wrong unless you stray from what YOU like. Their other pizzas are good too - so I'm told. I like their roasted pepper pizza too, though if you're vegetarian you'll need to ask them to hold the sausage. My mainstay is their mushroom special with a caesar salad and cider (they often, though not always, have cider on tap). I've been there several times, with family, with friends, and alone. working on his recipes and came up with a great menu and a fun little spot. A couple years back the owner of a new nearby coffee house saw the opportunity and took Leaning Tower over when the owner of the old place retired. This is an old pizza parlor with a new incarnation.
